Ros Bason was brought up in the Ribble Valley, Lancashire. She studied B.A. Media & Production Design

at the London College of Printing,1984–1988. She worked in the design industry for some years before becoming a secondary school teacher of Art and Design. After ten years of teaching, Ros decided to

focus more intensely on her own practice by studying for an M.A. in Fine Art Contemporary Practice.

Ros currently lives and works in Cornwall.
